Scholarship Announcement

Dear parents, guardians, and players,

The G-Lou Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of the “Be like G” Scholarship. This is a $1000 scholarship available to high school senior baseball players of the PA Rebels or WC Rustin High School, who plan on furthering their education in the Fall of 2026. This Scholarship is in honor of Gehrig Fleming, who was an inspiration to players and classmates both on and off the field. While his life was cut drastically short, we are hoping to honor his legacy by awarding four players who we believe embody Gehrig’s character, leadership, and baseball abilities.

Players who meet the following criteria are eligible for the scholarship:

1. Must be a senior player for WC Rustin High School or have played with the PA Rebels

for at least three seasons.

2. Continuing education at a University, Community College, Junior College, or Technical School for the Fall of 2026 School Year.

*Please note that you do not have to be a baseball player at the place where you plan on

continuing your education*
